Arrive in the vibrant capital city of Nepal, where you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Spend the day resting or exploring the bustling streets, temples, and cultural landmarks.
Take a scenic flight to Nepalgunj, a warm and lively city in the western Terai region. This serves as the gateway to the remote Dolpo region. Overnight stay in Nepalgunj.
Fly to Juphal, a small mountain airstrip, and begin your trek. Descend through terraced fields and villages, following the Bheri River to reach Dunai, the administrative center of Dolpo.
Continue trekking along forested trails inside Shey Phoksundo National Park. Walk through pine and cedar forests while enjoying views of rivers and waterfalls before reaching Chhepka.
Follow a scenic trail along the river with dramatic cliffs and dense forest surroundings. Pass beautiful landscapes and arrive at Jharana Hotel, near a stunning waterfall area.
Today is one of the most rewarding days as you reach the breathtaking Phoksundo Lake. Walk along cliffs and enjoy your first views of the turquoise lake before arriving at the traditional Ringmo village.
Spend the day exploring the serene surroundings of Phoksundo Lake. Visit the ancient Tshowa Gompa, a Bon monastery, and immerse yourself in the spiritual and natural beauty of the region.
Begin your return journey, retracing the trail through forests and river valleys. Enjoy a different perspective of the landscapes as you descend back to Chhepka.
Continue descending through familiar trails, passing villages and fields before reaching Juphal. This marks the end of your trekking adventure.
Take a morning flight from Juphal to Nepalgunj and then onward to Kathmandu. Enjoy your final evening relaxing or exploring the city.
